“It's a fascinating chapel come ossuary and offers a unique experience for the more adventurous tourist. However, since 2020 they've practiced a no photography policy to preserve the dignity of the dead which I find highly ironic since the dead have already had their bones repurposed as weird ornaments. And there's a souvenir counter selling skull fridge magnets, skull t-shirts, and even life sized replica skulls.”

“This tour was probably one of the worst we have done - and we have done 4 Viator trips in the last month alone. The bus was not marked and the driver was very moody. The guide did not make anyone feel welcome, was monotone, only recited facts and lacked charisma and a sense of humour. Maybe they should offer a 2.5 hour version of this tour. Drive out for an hour, see the unique church for 15 minutes and drive back for an hour. This being a 6 hour tour just felt like a lot of filler. In addition to the Bone Church, we went to see St. Barbara’s cathedral. While it is large and has some beautiful elements, I would squarely put it in the category of “you’ve seen one large European…”
